Tournament Information

Once again this year, Ultimate Chicago Sandblast will offer two divisions for entering teams. There will be a Game division that will compete for the Tournament Championship and there will be a Spirit division that will compete for the Spirit of the Game Championship.

The concept is designed to allow the Spirit division to focus on the essence of ultimate with costumes, cheers, giveaways as well as the official BULA Spirit of the Game scoring system. After the success of expanding to 32 teams from across the country. This division will have its own set of prizes where the winning team as voted on by all teams within the division will win TBD prizes and glory.

The Game division quality was improved with a reduced number of participating teams at 16 that will play throughout the weekend. They are still encouraged to wear costumes (or bikinis, sadly that refers to male bikinis), give cheers and more, but we will not implement the same scoring system and they will not be eligible for the Spirit awards. This division will also be competing for a complimentary bid to next year's Lei Out and Ultimate Chicago Sandblast event, long-sleeve tech jerseys and more!
